What is Ayurveda?

The literal meaning of Ayurveda is “science of life,” because ancient Indian system of health care focused on views of man and his illness. It has been pointed out that positive health means metabolically well-balanced human beings.
Ayurveda or Ayurvedic medicine is a system of traditional medicine native to India, But now its spread all around the world, which uses a range of treatments, including panchakarma (‘5 actions’), yoga, massage, acupuncture and herbal medicine, to encourage health and wellbeing.

Unlike other medicinal systems, Ayurveda focuses more on healthy living than treatment of diseases. The main concept of Ayurveda is that it personalizes the healing process. According to Ayurveda, the human body is composed of four basics-the dosha, dhatu, mala and agni.
The fundamental principles of Ayurveda view the universe as composed of five elements: space, air, fire, water and earth. These elements are present in everything, including our own bodies. They combine to form three doshas or energies: Vata (space and air), Pitta (fire and water) and Kapha (water and earth). Most of the time is correlate with with the physiology of Body.

FAQ & Answers

Questions & Answers

Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine originating in India that focuses on maintaining a balance between the body, mind, and spirit. Unlike modern medicine, which often targets symptoms and diseases, Ayurveda emphasizes prevention, lifestyle modifications, and natural treatments tailored to an individual’s unique constitution (dosha). It incorporates diet, herbal remedies, detoxification practices, and therapeutic treatments to promote holistic well-being.

During your first consultation, the Ayurvedic practitioner will assess your health by examining your pulse, tongue, eyes, and physical condition. They will also discuss your diet, lifestyle, and any health concerns you have. Based on this evaluation, the practitioner will identify your dosha and recommend personalized treatments, dietary changes, and lifestyle adjustments to restore balance and promote health.

Panchakarma is a five-step detoxification and rejuvenation program in Ayurveda, designed to cleanse the body of toxins and restore its natural balance. It includes therapeutic procedures like Vamana (emesis), Virechana (purgation), Basti (enema), Nasya (nasal administration), and Raktamokshana (bloodletting). Panchakarma is suitable for anyone seeking deep detoxification, stress relief, or management of chronic health conditions. It’s especially recommended for those experiencing imbalances in their doshas.

Our Happy Clients!

I had a great two weeks experience with Dr. Kasun. After an initial consultation he created a schedule with all the detailed information of the treatments and the medicines to follow. He explains all of the procedures in advance and is very open to questions, even encouraging you to research further into the theories of Ayurveda for yourself to discuss with him. Thoroughly recommended.

Did the 14 day Ayurvedic detox, it was a great experience, we were limited with what we could use but Dr Kasun made sure he made the most of it plus more.He was incredibly organised and descriptive with everything we went through, I was able to message him throughout the detox with ANY questions, so he made me feel safe during the process, he also help me with extra treatment on a few other injuries. Legend material.Very kind hearted man that wants the best for his patients and will go the extra mile if he has to, I will definitely be coming back.Thank you Dr Kasun

We have been going to Doctor Kasun for over a year now, I decided to write a review, maybe it will be useful to someone. My husband has a herniated disc and is stooped. I went to the doctor on a regular basis for therapeutic massage. A month later I already felt the result, the pain began to recede. Now there is no pain at all and the stooping has gone. Dr. Kasun also helped my 7-year-old son get rid of a rash on his body that appeared when we arrived here. We tried everything… Conventional medicine prescribed us hormones and all sorts of ointments. It didn’t help. Only then did they turn to Doctor Kasun for help, he prescribed herbal tincture and tablets and gave nutritional recommendations. The rash is gone!!! We suffered from a rash for more than six months; if I had known earlier, I would have immediately gone to Ayurveda. The doctor speaks excellent English. The office is clean and tidy. A very sympathetic and kind person. It’s a pleasure to visit him every time. By the way, he also gives massages to children. I like it. I enjoy driving it. If you go for a massage, be sure to take a spare T-shirt, because after the massage you will be covered in Ayurveda oil, which is not recommended to wash off for a couple of hours. Thank you very much Dr. Kasun 🙏 we are very grateful to you ❤️ You have become a great friend to our family 🙏
